1. That black people can't swim
2. That black people love watermelon

Also, I've never understood why some gay men call others by female pronouns regardless of the persons gender.

During segregation, black people weren't allowed to use public swimming pools. So black kids grew up not knowing how to swim.

Freed slaves often sold watermelon.

Gay men were often feminized in media. Even today that's pretty common.
