@DeluxedEdition good point, we don't know for sure, but they don't seem to plan their own funerals, although elephants have interesting actions about that. Are you a philosopher,? I love your interest.

@samueltyler2 I wish I was but you don't get any money for that profession these days 🤭

@DeluxedEdition it isn't always about the money. It is an interesting discussion, but may note the average SW user. I think we may have chatted before, that would be more the place for this.

Most people don't seem to understand. The ones who do are special, but humanity in general? No.
They do and they don’t.
For example tell people the universe is infinite but at the same time expanding and watch them puke.

@DeluxedEdition they don’t, it’s just a concept that’s too large.

@guerrilla personally if someone told me something is infinite I would somewhat assume that would mean it's growing or expanding to some degree
But it's a little difficult because I only understand what I know. I remember being a kid and learning that numbers were infinite. That shit blew my mind.

@DeluxedEdition To be fair it’s not information primates are usually expected to process. It’s like explaining solar flares to fish. It’s only because humanity has gone so far forward that this stuff is in anyway useful to us as a species.
Humans dont understand infinity, most people's brains arent wired to handle numbers much larger than they can see.
A trillion dollars for example, whats that mean?

Our mind has freewill that at some point may or may not over take our instinctive mindset, depending on variables.
@checkoutanytime perhaps our mindset has no limitation

The human mind is special for more reasons than just that alone
PhoenixPhail · M
It doesn't make it special, but I think it makes it different from most other animal species. I think it's possible dolphins know. Some scientists say they're smarter than humans.
(But these days, I think cockroaches are smarter than humans. At least some of them.)

What make them special is that they understand it wrongly.
