Strange comforts

There is a greenspace at the hospital my dad was in. Nice covering, benches and chairs. I spent a lot of time sitting there and praying. The day my dad passed he was going downhill quickly and we were forced to choose life support or leave it to God. I sat there before he went home and prayed “if your ultimate plan is to take him home, then do it. Don’t let him stay here and suffer. Take him. We’ll be alright and we’ll take care of mom”. Dad lasted until anyone in the family within 100 mile radius was able to get there to say goodbye. And then he was gone. I’ve gone back to that place a few times since.

I found the hospital green space immeasurably comforting during my husband's illness. I could almost hear the frayed nerves healing.
Beautiful …

@Lyfis2live oh for my dad? Yes, he’ll have his next procedure tomorrow. That’s three hours from here so I’ll drive down in the morning. My husband needed to pick something up from a hospital in our town last night and that’s where I saw this. 🙂
@JustNik Fair enough!
