This doesn't make sense

My friend cannot get power of attorney over her Dad because they said he is not competent, but isn't that a reason to have PoA?

But he should have signed papers when he was competent. Now it will be complicated.

@Nebula sorry about that. In the US he will need a court appointed POA now though.
