What word has someone used to describe you that you had to google to find out what the heck it meant?

Persnickety perhaps? Maybe quemeful?

A long time ago someone said I was the dope... I wasn't sure whether I should be insulted or if it was a compliment turned out it was a compliment.

@Justmeraeagain I recall 'dope' being used as slang for information. May have been specific to RAF talk in the 40s. Another similar expression was "gen" - short for general intelligece.

@ffony I don't 'get' all this gen X (etc) stuff. In my late 80s, what gen would you put me in?
