" Don't demand Respect from others, but don't tolerate disrespect either "

- Me

I think I'm too nice when it comes to setting boundaries. And it's really understandable cause of the way that I'm buit. But. I think it's high time that I make people stand on it.

I firmly believe respect being earned and not given. Courtesy is a different thing altogether. Saying "please"; "thank you" or "excuse me" if you need to pass someone or "sorry" for something is not putting yourself down. I must be getting old. I'm getting pissed off by the lack of courtesy I encounter on a daily basis. I hardly ever see or hear anyone (and it doesn't matter which age group they are, use any manners. I'm getting to the point where I am thinking "f*** it, why should I?" I'm convinced people think courtesy is when women do that bobbing up and down to the monarch.
