On red pilled conservatives and the Matrix.

I laugh because plot twist, they are the Matrix. They are usually the ones who think they're red pilled because they are traditionalists and right winged so they "think" they're being edge lords. However, the director said the Matrix movie was relating to trans gendered rights. That trans people "wake up" to realize they're in the matrix and take the red pill while everyone is still in the Matrix. The Matrix essentially doesn't understand new information and only wants old information that is unchanged. The Matrix doesn't accept things outside of its own existence because it literally "cannot" understand and doesn't have that type of intelligence, which is essentially red pilled conservative dogma.

Isn't it ironic when the Matrix thinks it's not the Matrix? Lmfao. Almost as if they've tricked themselves into thinking they are actually independent beings capable of independent thought, cute.

how on earth was the matrix movie relating to trans rights? haha i swear people try to make everything about trans people lately
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Torsten Both of the directors of the Matrix are trans.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@SatanBurger and i ask again how does the movie itself relate to trans rights? I will answer it, it doesnt. There is nothing in those films that in anyway could be twisted and warped to be about trans rights.
Like i originally said, people just love to try and twist most things to be about trans people now due to some weird obsession with them. Its crazy
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Torsten The directors came out and said it, the directors are trans themselves.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@SatanBurger so basically the directors themselves now try twisting it to be that most likely for attention. I mean if you can explain to me what in the movie is symbolic or actually about trans rights i am all ears but there just isnt anything there.
Who cares if trans people were the directors. Did they write the story?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Torsten The directors also wrote the matrix.

@SatanBurger ok cool so what in the movie was about trans rights? haha you keep dodging that question

The Matrix was written and directed by Lana and Lilly Wachowski, two trans women who, at the time of movie's release, were not publicly out. Ever since both sisters came out to the public in the 2010s, people have long speculated about the trans themes in The Matrix.

But it wasn't until very recently that one of the Wachowskis publicly confirmed their guesses.

"I'm glad that people are talking about the movies, The Matrix movies, with a trans narrative," said Lilly Wachowski in an interview with Netflix last year.

A couple of the more overt parallels have garnered attention over the years. For example, Neo is offered a choice between a red and blue pill. The red pill will open his eyes to the truth that he is living in a simulation. The blue pill will allow him to continue in ignorance. The red pill that Neo ends up taking is similar to what estrogen pills, used for hormone replacement therapy, looked like in the nineties.

Another example: the Wachowskis wanted the character Switch to present as male in the real world while presenting as female in the Matrix, as an explicit nod to the idea of transness in an online world. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Keanu Reeves, who played Neo in the movies, recalled an early draft of the script that was later changed. "I think the studio wasn't ready for that," he said. The character ended up presenting as a woman in both dimensions.

@SatanBurger so basically nothing.. wow a pill looks like hormone pills at the time and they wanted a character to be male in real life and female in the matrix but they never went with it.. hmm sounds like they are doing exactly what i said and just trying to twist it to be about trans rights for attention

@Torsten Just because a movie isn't loud about its message doesn't mean it's not true. You're saying you know better than the trans directors who wrote it, which I find odd since you're basically telling the directors that they didn't mean what they meant when they wrote it.

@Honko Seems like the audience got that perfectly fine as they already knew the movie was a trans allegory when it first came out.

@SatanBurger there was no trans message in it though. Watch the movie again. There is nothing there. Funny how all of a sudden its about trans rights during a time where everything is about trans people to a certain group of people.
I see this as nothing but cheap pandering and attention seeking
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Torsten You simply don't know better than the trans directors on what they meant back when they wrote their movie. There is a trans message in there, the trans directors said so and even before that, people picked up on it.

I feel like, you're trying to challenge me because it involves your bias against trans people but you're too dense to understand what you're trying to challenge me on. I feel like you have better things to do than to confuse yourself over there.
