On the list of red flags

It happened again; I've been asked about my child's/children's ages. I'm not trying to start anything, I'm just putting it out there. I'm childfree. If I were insane to go through that s*** or even adopt, absolutely no one will know, especially random people on the internet.

Why are we even asking strangers that? It's weird

I used to be asked that all the time. Especially when I visited a new church. First they wanted to know how old my children were (don't have any) then they would ask where my husband was (was single then my hubs doesn’t go to church).

Basically, they didn’t know where to “put” me. People can’t relate to childless people. It makes them uncomfortable because that’s the only reference they have.

That is just WE-IRD.

HOPEfully it was women asking and not middle age men.
