On the list of red flags

It happened again; I've been asked about my child's/children's ages. I'm not trying to start anything, I'm just putting it out there. I'm childfree. If I were insane to go through that s*** or even adopt, absolutely no one will know, especially random people on the internet.

Why are we even asking strangers that? It's weird

I can sorta see it both ways. it's be very weird as a intro topic, but being a parent is such a big part of many people's lives. sometimes I think a little too much... I remember a car I saw once with a personalized tag of 'TREVORSMOM' or something... and all I could think was 'wow. it seems like you're basing your identity on your kids. that's awful.'
