Maybe be a good friend and fill her thoughts with you. It’s a struggle to reinvent relationships when someone has passed. If you like her, give her time to heal. Soon enough her thoughts will be refocused on you.

You are being given her shopping list. Have you considered giving her yours.. (BTW. This is my pet theory as to while tension exists between wives and mothers in law. Mum has established the benchmarks..And generally not set the sons benchmarks for performance high, leaving the wife a lot of work to train him.)😷
