What draws negative attention in any relationship for you?

For me it's being taken advantage of and head games
AbbeyRhode · F Best Comment
I can't stand head games. At the first sign of that, I'm gone.
Being told I am free to see other guys, and every "friend" he ever had hitting on me as if they knew this.
His being a regular at the girlie bars, and "friends" with all the dancers.
Getting phone calls from strange women at all hours.
His being a chronic liar, but of course, "not to you."
No respect for his mother. The way a man treats his mother is a pretty good indicator of the way he will treat his partner.

Lying/cheating (they typically go hand in hand)

Gaslighting

Huge differences in morals/values/parenting styles

@ImpeccablyImperfect Or age differences, based on maturity level. You have a great list 😀

Lack of communication but chat with 15 other females and worrying about their feelings

Dishonesty

Take you for granted because they can guilt trip you into buying them useless things

Yep. What she said.
Plus mindgames, God I hate that.
LilPrincess · 46-50, F
@mindstruggle omg me too. I swear my last one had more games than Milton Bradley 😒
SW-User
@mindstruggle That is another kiss of death for me
Aysel · F
Gaslighting, jealousy-inciting, dishonesty, and the silent treatment.
SW-User
@Aysel All those are horrible

I have tourettes with loud outbursts and facial tics that I can't control, so when ever I'm out with anyone and have one people look at me like I'm a horrible father or partner.
SW-User
When you're partner is impossible to please. You give them everything and they complain.

When either or both of you have unresolved issues that you avoid.

Dishonesty and complacency.

Then again, I think I want something that doesn't exist.

@SW-User Makes perfect sense
@SW-User sometimes people need help to work through their issues
SW-User
@sstronaut and a lot of times people need to work through it themselves first

Lies, I hate being told exactly how it's "Not," and someone is trying to warp reality.
SW-User
@Iwillwait Very good
GunFinger · F
Lying, loud and selfishness. Head games too. Thank you.
No pulse. It’s a real turnoff.

@OlderSometimesWiser If the heart ain't beating I am retreating :)

Game playing and not communicating.
Jeephikelove · 51-55, F
That and disrespect, lying, and lack of communication.
SW-User
@Jeephikelove Those are some good ones
scorpio611 · 41-45, M
Taken for granted and trying to dominate.
SW-User
Anything negative from people tends to bounce off me … what people choose to be like is on them not me

That’s my philosophy in life

I have and always will be my own Hero 🫡
SW-User
@SW-User Too true, great philosophy
Power games and competition are the definition of toxicity for me.
