You hear the word devoid of any context. What is your initial reaction when you hear or read the word "feminism?"

I ask because the term comes up in so many posts here.

The word has been somewhat tainted in the modern context by fringe elements that peddle hysteria and misandry. Still, I prefer to think of the word in the context of women representing women and fighting for women, with good and honest intent. As such I don't fear feminism at all, it isn't a threat to me. Radical feminism is a threat to a peaceful society, as are most radical ideologies.
