I Believe People Come Into Your Life For a Reason
Yesterday... The blues clouded my vision like the rolling and tumbling clouds that blackened and bullied the high sun. Alone, yet with all my friends, I roared my blood red monster over hills and around bends - unsure what I was running from or toward... Or was I simply outdriving my redlined brain?
Regardless, the boulders of my soul I thought irreversibly layered began to tumble, rumbling through my emotions like cascading angels breaking free from stony cells.
And angels they were, each! Without warning a song poured forth from their mouths... A song I've sung before - a chorus of peace, love, tenderness, hope, and adventure I believed lost - reduced to an echo along hollow canyon walls.
And then... my heart's song returned with the strength of a hundred melodies built on chords of pain, sorrow, joy, adventure, anger, frustration - all in harmony. And this morning I awoke to LOVE... Love of all I have known, breathed, touched, smelled, feared, loved, and lost.
'Ol friend... I left you in the dust once.
Never again. Together we embrace this journey with welcoming heart and open smile.
