Must be true to oneself.

Not anymore. When I was alot younger I really struggled because I'm a very quiet person, and some people struggle being around people like me.
I have learned to like myself and not care what others think and just be myself.

I don't have a choice anymore. I can absolutely be myself, but if everyone around me has strong assumptions and nobody else cares to actually know me, I'm whatever they say I am.
I stay home a lot.

I never have. I was given a piece of advice when I was a kid , and it was "Don't follow the herd. Think for yourself. "

No. I'll keep quiet, but that's as far as I'll go.

I did that for most of my working life.

I am totally something I'm not because of my experiences with all the creeps and crazies I've dealt with my whole life. Whoever I was supposed to be is long gone

Nope, I tried that. It was miserable. Can't be anything other than I am. The important people in my life accept me as I am and that's what matters.
