A rant about neatness/cleanliness
Yesterday I glanced out the back door and noticed that there was paper/plastic/stuffing from dog toys scattered in the yard. (One of our dogs has the bad habit of sneaking trash from the trash can and dragging it outside through the doggy door)
I was already doing laundry, so I let it go, but I did say in passing to my roommate "Wow there's trash in the yard. Maybe tomorrow I'll get out there and rake it all up." Now, when I say things out loud like that, it's mostly so that I myself will make a mental note not to forget about the task. BUT I also say it so that if roommate has nothing better to do, HE can get out there and do the cleanup. Well this fool went to the door and looked out and said, "Oh, it's not that bad." Then went back to his video game.
Wow. Really? If it's "not that bad", why not go out there and clean it up? Also- ANY trash in the yard is bad. It costs nothing to get off your a$$ and take 10 mins to rake the trash and dump it in the trash bins outside. $hit like that is so annoying to me, because I take pride in keeping a clean, tidy home inside and out, but I am one person and there are two of us living here. Why do I have to always be the one who gives a $hit???? Just because he is happy to sit and live in a dump doesn't mean I should have to suffer. 🤬
