I am sick of people and want to retire but can't afford to do so.
Listen I've been doing hair for 42 years now and as much as I love my craft I am sick of dealing with the public. I just turned 60 back in june and I'm tired. I know I'm not at the official retirement age yet and I probably never will be able to afford to hang it up but I wish I could. It's fine maybe when I hit 50 years with shears in hand I can finally relax poolside somewhere.
On a second rant why do people feel the need to film everything? Don't be filming me doing my job because it makes me think you're going to try something slick with me. You're either going to try to bait me to blow up on camera or make me the bad guy in some way. Now if you ask me beforehand I might agree. I had some middle school aged girl giggling and saying oh can I sing you a song with her phone out and I said no let's just get started in the chair. I'm at work I am not your entertainment source. We are people trying to make a living I'm not your dance monkey dance. Then you get people who are on facetime talking and I can see myself on your camera. Never flattering mind you and put that thing down.
