If I have to spend one more shift on drive thru I'm grabbing the bagel knife and committing seppuku

This is the second day in a row I've been stuck there for 8 hours. I hate it because I'm not a people person though admittedly it is easier on my body. I'm just tired of dealing with customers.

That's why they put you in drive thru, to get you to socialize

@NativePortlander1970 I feel like I'm being punished for having a mental breakdown last Saturday on the bar making drinks. This is two days in a row of drive thru which is very unusual for me because nobody usually puts me there unless they have no choice.
@Crimsondrops What kind of breakdown?

@NativePortlander1970 It would have made more sense if you had been there and seen firsthand how bad it was and how awful people were being towards me. You're right I've never gone to war and I hope I never have to but I respect those who have.
@Crimsondrops I have been in food service and retail management, I know all about being short staffed all too well, and I had good work crews that could handle anything we got dealt, you obviously need to find a new career field that is filled with rainbows and lolipops since you obviously cannot handle stress all too well.

@NativePortlander1970 I've been working on rebuilding my resume to find whatever it is that will bring me some kind of peace. I doubt I'll ever be able to find a job that makes me fully happy but here's to hoping.
@Crimsondrops I cannot think of anything that isn't stressful one way or another.

@NativePortlander1970 Neither can I and to be fair I've never been able to nail down what I've wanted to do anyway. I think on it and draw blanks or walk away with half baked ideas
@Crimsondrops The easiest least stressful job I had right out of high school was janitorial, you either work alone or with a crew.

@NativePortlander1970 what was being a janitor like?
@Crimsondrops Quiet and steady, same thing day in and day out.
@Crimsondrops Look for a janitorial service where you live and apply to each one.

@NativePortlander1970 I might have to give that a shot that sounds oddly peaceful. Hopefully the pay is decent.
