Rant is building but i think i have headed it off

I started writing a long missive here. It was prodded by getting blocked recently by a political poster who frankly was a bit unhinged.
This isnt just SW, its out in the world but is everywhere.
I stay out of political arguments as there is little genuine discussion, only gotchas and strawmen. My side goodness and light, other side is straight out of Mordor.
I want to shake everyone and beg them to step back and do a lot of critical thinking.
Unfortunately i dont think people know how anymore.

Another reason that the cabin in the mountains is still a pleasant dream.
