On a scale of 0 to 10 how stressed out are you?

What's making you feel stressed?

Personally, I feel like I'm close to replying '11' 😭
My house is a mess, I'm so busy with our kid while my husband is working abroad for another couple of days. I have to take him to day camp and back which is an hour drive altogether, cook when I get home, think about where and when to buy bread to make his lunch, all trying to combine it with working overtime at work, and my colleague the HR Manager just resigned after working here for 3 months 😭 I'm supposed to go on holiday next week and everyone is already panicking and asking me who will be the back up. Well guess what, there is none XD We have 3 people starting up during my holiday, one from another country where the payroll still needs to be set up in detail, one with a work permit that is also still ongoing for feedback, and one where I still need to arrange perks for. My boss can't decide upon which laptop to buy 😅 just kill me now haha XD
I need a holiday, but I can't afford it work-wise. If I go on holiday now, I'll just be stressed about it all as well when I'm not doing anything to solve it 😭

Work related stress is a solid 9-10 here as well. I wish I could resign but a lot is dependent upon me, so I’m just trying to take it one day at a time.

Can’t you carpool your kid with some other day camper? Or ask a friend to help. It’ll give you some breather…🤗

@Vivaci Thanks for the suggestion! I might ask my father in law to pick him up tonight so I get an extra hour at least for today ^^
@kimmy159 Been there, done that. I mean traveling to drop off kid for an hour and back and forth…😑 It sucks…

Try carpooling as well. Some mothers willingly help for 5$ per trip.

@Vivaci Exactly 😅 I'm quite lucky on the average days, school is on walking distance, but now that it's vacation, daycare is in another village cause they combine the 2. The camp is more of an exception as well, but I often have to go to main quarters in Brussels (I live 2h drive away from that, so on those days I loose 4h of time in traffic).
I'm lucky to have a company car though so I don't need to worry about fuel prices, it just gets really really hectic organisation wise and I feel like my mind is constantly on 'ON mode'. This morning my son woke up at 5am and after I checked up on him, he went back to sleep for 3 more hours, but my mind had been triggered thinking about work for today so I couldn't go back to sleep at all 😅 I mean, I totally get why people would get burn-outs. I sent a mail to my boss(es) today to talk about a few things, hope it will help :)
This is so relatable…I mean my son literally told me to relax on the pool floating tube instead of just staring at the water. I realized I was v tense until then…😖 I am leading so idk who to complain to, except hr😩@kimmy159

I hope your meeting is successful…you deserve a break. 🤗💞

@Vivaci Gosh that also sounds so relatable! Now that our HR manager is leaving, I'm basically in charge of Office management, accountancy and HR until we get a new person again. My main focus was supposed to be the accountancy 😅 Ah well, I'll guess we'll muddle through :p
I often found myself to be absent minded as well when I am supposed to have a break. These days, it also seems to take effort to try and relax and switch everything off 😅
😅 Omg!!! This is what has been happening with me since June…are we the same person?!?! 🤪@kimmy159

@Vivaci Guess what! My boss replied that he understands the issues I’ve raised and he wants to talk about them tomorrow :0 fingers crossed!
That’s hopeful. Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🤗

I told my director that I’m taking a long vacay once this is over…and he also agreed. Thank goodness. @kimmy159
