I Need to Rant

STORYTIME: beginning of last year I met a guy through my bestie. We would always hang out, the three of us. He was cute, funny, and outgoing but I was more shy around him. Before we’d actually hang out he’d flirt with me but I would take it as a joke bc he’s very goofy so I didn’t think he was being serious. Few weeks pass and my friend is like girl he keeps telling me he likes you and I was like whatever but the more we’d hang out the feelings grew. One day he asks me to go to a football game with him and I’m like sure. I meet his crazy, loud friends and the whole time they are questioning me I’m feeling uncomfortable and I stay reserved bc at this point I’m annoyed. One of his friends whispers to him “is this the girl you were talking about?” For some reason I felt offended aha (idk) anyways were cuddling and holding hands then I get a sudden rush of butterflies traveling through my arms and stomach whenever he held me tighter or rubbed his hand on my shoulder. It was a weird night but I loved being with him. The next day I went out of town for about 4 days. Sadly my charger broke and I could barely get to a charger (my sister hated sharing). So I barely talked to him I was like it’s just 4 days oh well. When I got back I was so excited to see him so we planned to hang out and he ended up saying he was busy... I knew something was up. My brother tells me he asked him if I ever talk at home which I found weird. That night he texted me “I’m done talking to you.” I felt so embarrassed, shocked, hurt. I was confused. I wish things were different if I should’ve been more myself and open with him, show him my goofy side... the lack of communication was there usually with people I can be outgoing or talkative if I feel comfortable but I just never knew what to talk about with him and now that everything ended I realized how could’ve been more communicative. He then asked my friends how I was after which I don’t understand

I need opinions on the situation itself and what could have possibly been the reason why things ended

The lack of communication was what caused the problems. He could have discussed this further with you or you with him. Sounds like whatever could have been is over. You both are young. Explanations were awkward, unsaid. Move on. Teens do not communicate well. That's a fact.
