Noticing more often that people don't accept kindness.

Some don't even recognize when it's being given.

Some react poorly.

Somebody get me off this planet.

My kindness is genuine 100% of the time. Some days I quietly wish for someone to just be nice to me. Just a scrap. A drop more than polite.

I don't belong here.

It took me a really long time to understand and accept kindness. I'm not sure why, but partly think I didn't feel like I needed or maybe didn't deserve it. But thank you for giving it.

I've noticed that trend too. Open a door, help someone pick something up, etc. Not even a thank you. Even from older people that know better. 🤷🏻‍♂ I give kindness because it makes me feel good and don't expect anything in return.

Maybe some people have been treated like they're nothing so many times for so long they've given up
