Nothing changes

Vulnerable women and girls as young as 14 are being lured into a world of forced sex by gangs in London, evidence uncovered by the BBC has found.

20 years ago it was the same. I was "recruited" at 15.

Lots of talk - little action.

Do you have any actionable suggestions?

@KatyO83 Understood, I work with abuse victims often, I would never treat them as criminals and will continue to not do so, thank you. Gay spaces are filled with abuse victims, just trying to manage day to day. I will continue to do what I can to help.

@ValcoreSylvestra oh I didn't say the most obvious thing - legalise all drugs and license their sale. Treat it like a health problem not a criminal one

@KatyO83 If I made the rules I would, but I'll pass that along.
thats what happens when you put politics over peoples lives.

@Magenta Deleted his foul comment - block him too. That man is exactly part of the problem.

@Diotrephes I have to so disagree.
I was taken into care twice, finally at 11. I've never known my dad at all and my mum simply couldn't be a parent, she barely could be an adult.

Most of these kids come from broken or disfunctioning families where domestic violence is is the norm, rape within a relationship normalised and they receive little if no true affection.

It's the institutions that are the problem. Police who are only interested in arrests and no concern for the victims. Social and care workers who view the kids as born losers and troublemakers. Politicians who continue to target those at the bottom of the food chain as being the problem.

And these gangs wouldnt be a certain group of immigrants, would they?
