When you receive criticism, do you become defensive or do you listen?

If it is said in a nasty tone of voice, I will defend myself every time. If it is said in a loving way, with a gentle tone of voice, I will actually try to comply with the correction.

If it is said by my annoying friend, I TRY to ignore it, because it is usually said in ignorance.
