Boo-Boo Doesn’t Like Listening To The News When It’s On A Long Time…yells “Change It!”

@Colonelmustardseed It’s either that or he likes shows and movies with some music interjected occasionally. I think he could tolerate commercials better than the news. But he does understand a lot sometimes more than I could imagine a bird understanding and maybe he doesn’t want to hear the news. He is sensitive to tones of voices as well and they like to talk serious in much of the news reports.

@Colonelmustardseed Not sure. I know he listens to Westerns. He makes these little noises as the story goes on. If dramatic music is playing like something is about to happens he will make his scary sound. I’ll tell him it’s not scary. And when something is sweet or touching he’ll make these little oooh sounds. Male parakeets typically like shows and movies with men with deeper voices talking and they’ll say some of the things that they’ve heard. And all of the parakeets love music. Pretty sure Boo-Boo would love musicals but I don’t care for most of them so I don’t have them on very often. He learned some sweet talk words from listening to a soap opera too. 😂

@IndianaJoes I didn’t like hearing the news when I was little either. I had to get up and walk out of the living room.

@cherokeepatti the one thing I remembered about President Carter when I was young was.... he was on TV a lot interrupting things I wanted to watch.
