I have one of those LED light bulbs in my bedside

Almost beside table and of course it's hasn't lasted 13 years like the side of the box said anyway it's real dim most of the time but occasionally it will light up full power. If I don't turn it off I'll be jumping up yelling what is it now gawd dammit then I'll go oh then go back to sleep. I should film this huh y'all..
Some LED bulbs are just garbage. The best way to tell if a manufacturer sucks at making them is heat. If the bulb is a 60W equivalent and gets very hot, it was manufactured in a slipshod way and will not last the decade or so they should. I bought a mess of Sylvania warm light bulbs 10 years ago and they not only look like incandescents, but they stay cool and none of them have burned out yet. I’ve tried Cree and…not a fan.

When I was in the electronics industry we referred to stuff like that is "infant mortality." Things go bad at the beginning of their life cycle or at the end. There are things a manufacturer can do to limit early life failures, but then they can't sell the ones that fail early which hurts profits.

Yeah they think we don’t have enough long-term memory to remember their promises with these light bulbs. But I think a factor in them getting burnt out before then is having brownouts. Used to be quite a few brownouts in this neighborhood for some reason.
