I'm Saying Don't Judge Me Until You've Walked In My Shoes

because chances are, my shoes won't even fit you. And you may not know how to put them on.
In other words, stop judging anyone.

I judge. I'm not going to pretend I don't; it's how I assess every situation, how I've survived, how I determine right from wrong in my own behavior, how I evaluate my own safety or risk. The thing is, it's not how I decide whether or not I like someone and want to befriend them. And it's definitely not what dictates the respect I afford others. You (general "you") have my respect as a human being going in---I'm not one of those folks who say "you have to earn my respect"---who tf am I but a fellow mortal ? You have it and it's yours to lose by the way you choose to treat me.
That's my feeling about it.
