Some mothers, some women—and some men—oppose child marriage.

Whether or not it’s what you want to call "brainwashing" or conditioning, there have always been (and still are) women who actively participate in child marriage, just like some encourage arranged marriages. Some actually even hold their daughters down for FGM.

I’m a feminist, which means I believe women and girls deserve equal civil rights and opportunities, bodily autonomy and the right to realize dreams that may or may not include motherhood and family, just as men do.

But in my lifetime, I’ve encountered both men who agree with me— and women who don’t.

Not every man is a child molester and wants to have a child bride.
That's pretty insulting.
In the west most of us are taught that is disgusting and immoral.
There are religious groups that believe and practice this type of disgusting behavior and unfortunately some of the elites, and of course the pedophiles both men and women,but the average citizen male or female does not think it's okay to have a little girl as a bride.
In fact I often think it's the last moral ground that most of us agree with- pedos are sick.
There are brave men who have gone places to rescue trafficked children; you are insulting them by insinuating that all men would molest children and you're not giving them the credit they deserve for facing the danger .

This is incorrect. There are many of us who would stand to prevent child marriage, and there are many women who would support it.

It's not an issue of sex. There are good people and there are bad people. Both types come in assorted flavors. No one flavor is good while another one flavor is bad.

It's a bad time, I admit. Just hours ago I read some information about a woman raping an 11 month old baby. I'm sure that woman and other women like her would be in full support of child "marriage".

You have so many women who lure young girls into sex slavery.

There are many mothers and women and fathers and men also standing in the way of legalizing child marriage/child sexual usage. Do understand this.
