If we are failed then there is no hope. We are not going to evolve.

I'm not optimistic about humanity evolving any further, or not running out of time to do so, if we still would've, given enough time ... we've already created enough things to destroy ourselves completely, so I don't think we'll be around another 500 years

at the same time I've read science articles indicating that continued evolution would eventually dispense with the Y chromosome, sort of ... this is an example of the articles
