Another string WTF they keep getting longer. It’s freaking me out

This one is two tangled very extensively I’ll update once I get them untangled but for now black and white strings I cut a piece off three times and 2 disappeared instantly. wtf does it mean? I have a lot of questions
Some pictures are attached and more will be as it’s untangled. I have three pictures so far

@SinlessOnslaught the bottom one is how it appeared but I’d gotten it partially untangled then took the lowest 3rd picture in this post.
