World population. Are you still making your contribution to humanity?

A week ago it surpassed 8 billion. This is it's status a few moments ago.

any of these numbers will be critical, which will lead to a qualitative change in the operation of the entire system.

@fakable Agreed. Yet the "operation of the whole system" is driven by and for the very wealthy. What benefits the wealthy will be the coarse taken.

Musk has given his own solution. It mostly certainly will not benefit the middle class or the poor. There are other bigger game players that haven't spoken out.

complex systems are self-regulating. there are no human laws for these processes.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@fakable only natural laws operate that way. Humans will always figure a way around any system. Most specially when greed is involved.

Heck we already have figured how to use natural laws against each other to do what we want to do.

No other creature on earth has been to space on their own with out our help.

No other creature has manipulated their own DNA at will. We have, despite our own laws against it.

Eventually, if we don't obliterate ourselves first, we will figure out a way to use the natural laws to exceed the speed of light, though we are currently no where near doing so now.

@DeWayfarer

i understand you, but...

the humanity you speak of is in the realm of natural laws, not the other way around.

mankind has no possibility to create anything. it is not possible. mankind can only synthesize and compile elements already created by nature.

in addition, humanity, in its essence, has no will of its own. humanity is a tool in the hands of nature.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@fakable agree with everything but the last. Even animals have a limited form of free will.

Yet we are MANIPULATORS of nature.
fakable · T
@DeWayfarer

limited freedom is not freedom.

freedom is possible for every being only when the will of the being coincides with the will of nature. or god. or the absolute. or the first cause. people have given this many different names.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@fakable I disagree. Nature is being manipulated this very moment that we are talking. And god or whatever could care less.
fakable · T
@DeWayfarer

what exactly of what I said do you think is false?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@fakable
in addition, humanity, in its essence, has no will of its own.
We are talking. Without the manipulation of nature we simply couldn't.
humanity is a tool in the hands of nature.[
Yet we create things nature never intended.
limited freedom is not freedom.
Until we manipulate nature to do as we wish

Note this conversation is not natural.
freedom is possible for every being only when the will of the being coincides with the will of nature
This conversation is not the only thing we are doing that nature didn't intend for us to do. I have already listed of things like going out to space.

No deity really cares how we manipulate nature. Now nature might care (global warming as an example) yet even now we are attempting to change that.

At best nature will warn us... She already has.

At worst she will destroy us... That's a very real possibility.

Yet change us nature can't.

We have to change ourselves. That's free will. Us changing ourselves is freedom. Even DNA manipulation is a free will thing. Nature won't stop us. She can only destroy us.

@fakable No disrespect. Yet I have my own beliefs. More center towards change. A cross of many beliefs really.

@DeWayfarer
the ideology of the summary vector is present in this example infographic

your disrespect? it doesn't matter

I'm just having fun.
