A lot of people really don't understand what equality means.

They're either like:

If you're allowed what I am, I'm getting less.[/b]

Or:

[b][i]Fine, I will kick up my feet while you pull all the weight and do everything.

Those things are not equality, they are stupidity.

The first one is especially disheartening. People often view equality as a zero-sum game. If someone with less gets something, then that's being taken away from me. Like when people refer to LGBT rights as "special rights", when really we're just asking to have access to the same things straight people do (marriage, adoption, etc.)
