Is human life really so cheap that ownership of guns outweighs it?

Another mass killing of innocent children in America. With the right to own/bear arms, why are there so many people who happily take their weapons to gun down children? Why are there not rules about carrying weapons in public?

In Switzerland, there are rifles in every home, since all Swiss are members of the national militia. But you never hear of mass killings. Same in Austria. In the United States, there must be some widespread psychological problem that young people think they can fulfil some delusion by killing innocent children.

Of course not.
The loss of liberty is another question though.

Barabara - it's not like people are waiting in line to shoot children. You're not that stupid, are you? Just being overly dramatic - right?

You are not simply asking questions.
You are taking cheap shots.

If you are gonna dish 'em out, be prepared to receive.

@BarboraK So, do you think those are good questions to ask the families?
Do you think they would appreciate your cavalier treatment of the topic?

Cuz, I am AM American, and I feel insulted.
So, now what?

@BarboraK Then perhaps you should apologize.
You've asked questions in an insulting fashion.
Learn to make a point without insulting.
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
@Budwick No one needs to apologise to you or the American people.

You continue to assert your right go bear arms in the face of 1000s of deaths each year.

How can that make sense.

@BarboraK he knows nothing else!!

@Budwick really??? The king of insults!! 🙄🙄

Of course you are not REQUIRED to apologize.
It's just the civilized thing to do.
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
@Budwick I meant because they are not deserving of an apology.

Clearly, you are!
I am insulted.
I know Mommy and Daddy likely convinced you that you are infallible, and you have a wall of participation trophies. But, when stepping into the arena of Big Girls Stuff, you are in the real world. And when you make mistakes, you apologize.

@Budwick They jump at an opportunity to show themselves as superior to Americans. I've noticed most Americans right or left here are respecting the families by not making this political. Yet. Just the nastiest of the nasties are piling on.

But non-Americans are in full assault. There's a word to describe these people.
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
@Budwick time to admit it's never to late to learn

Time your you and the rest of the gun carrying Americans that is.

@MrAverage1965 No, guns will not be banned in the USA.
I don't expect limp wristed Europeans to understand, but we take our liberties very seriously here.
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
@Budwick You don't need a gun to be free.

Freedom is about democracy, the right of free speech and to do with your body what you choose.

There are so many ways in the USA and Europe in which the population have their liberties restricted.

Debate and not guns will change that.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@MrAverage1965 So, you're an expert on freedom?

I got news for you Sparky, there's a big difference between Freedom and Willing to Be Oppressed.

Are you aware that your country has no equivalent to our 1st or 2nd amendments?
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
@Budwick You have to be aware that the reaction of those in power to increase gun violence could in fact have a negative impact on your liberty

You need to move with the times.

Also fyi

In England, Catholic rulers prohibited their Protestant subjects from owning firearms, and the English Bill of Rights corrected that injustice in 1689.

@Budwick you are truly a sick man!! I hope people eventually see you for who you are on here. You have your base but the rest think you’re an ass. If someone even comes close to exposing you, BLOCK!!

@MrAverage1965
the reaction of those in power to increase gun violence
Even with all of sleepy Joe's fuck ups, there's been no violent push back.
So, what fantasies are you making up in that Marxist brain of yours?
