Is human life really so cheap that ownership of guns outweighs it?

Another mass killing of innocent children in America. With the right to own/bear arms, why are there so many people who happily take their weapons to gun down children? Why are there not rules about carrying weapons in public?

In Switzerland, there are rifles in every home, since all Swiss are members of the national militia. But you never hear of mass killings. Same in Austria. In the United States, there must be some widespread psychological problem that young people think they can fulfil some delusion by killing innocent children.

Which life? Because criminals and people with ill intent will get guns one way or another, they won't be vaporized and disappear

That means that the gun laws you're in favor of will mean more rapes, more murders, more theft, robbery, home invasions

Because criminals will still have guns, law abiding citizens won't

It's a power balance

You're thinking "get rid of guns" which will not happen

Even if you're starkly against guns, you can't be for these gun laws and not be ignorant, it just doesn't work

The lives you're speaking of, far many more would be lost due to people being easy prey without defenses and the criminals knowing that people don't have them

@th3r0n defensive uses of guns far outweigh gun violence every year.

@Anon066 I believe that, and if everyone had them then the "gun violence" would almost entirely halt

The people that do such things are cowards, they won't go attack armed prey
