Please be honest

Can someone with ptsd live a normal life? Can they live a healthy life? Are they prone to mental illness, obesity, heart issues and substance abuse and memory deficiency? Is it inevitable?

they can......with therapy. and most likely medication. side effects to that extreme are not inevitable.

@HellsBelle If is one is living them, can they get out?

@DeluxedEdition not so much addictive....but if you miss doses...depending on what they give you....your brain will feel lightheaded. most docs do not give out addictive things any more. no more xanax or klonopin. you might be on meds forever but....it is based on your needs. but NEVER go on meds and then think "I feel better I don't need these" and then stop. nope. consistency is key

@Belladonna "living them"? I'm sorry I don't understand the question

@HellsBelle Mental illness, obesity, heart issues, substance abuse and memory deficiency. If someone already deals with these things, can they get out?
HellsBelle · 36-40, F
@Belladonna Meds can ease it. Some things can be changed. Obesity for one. No it isn't easy but technically, that is one thing that someone can cure themselves. Sometimes, taking care of the one thing you can control/try to control will alter the other emotions for the better.

I do believe that with meds, and usually a change of scenery (moving), and therapy, are super beneficial. are you doing ok? I love your username btw

@HellsBelle I'll be okay. I just need therapy, and a lot of help, but I believe in me. :) Thank you. I dig yours too!

@Belladonna I believe in you too! Keep us updated. I really wish people would do that so we see each others struggles and relate.

@HellsBelle I just get irritated or feel like I am on the verge of a break down when I miss my dose
HellsBelle · 36-40, F
@Chickie DO NOT miss doses. Please. To you and everyone, even if you feel ok, take the dose. Meds aren't always the answer, BUT once you decide to be on them....be committed. You are on them for a reason.

@HellsBelle I learned that the hard way, finding the right meds is hard for me.

@Chickie bruh, same. I had a good few years once so I'm actually looking on my walmart prescription orders to match up when I felt good and what meds I was on lol
