@Musicman He encouraged people not to move out a home if they weren’t making their mortgage payments, just to stay put. It wasn’t all that long till transients decided they’d seek out homes that looked like they weren’t being lived in and let themselves in through a window or whatever and move in. Then many times the homeowners would come back from vacation or from an extended job out of town or from a long extended hospital stay to find their home was being occupied. They had hell getting them out of there even when the law was called on them. This started with the seed that Obama planted in their minds.
