If God calls you for a purpose like marriage or single-blessedness... you should say Yes! How to know if it is? God will send signs and facilitate everything...
It is what you call destiny is unfolding!
The universe is conspiring for that purpose!
So the reason why people fail their marriages lack of God. Not love and lust!
Lack of God! That's it!
