how do you respond to people who are sensationalist
so you're talking to someone and most of the things you say, that person puts a sensational - dramatic spin on it, she will say something like ' oh my god! i'm really sorry, you've been through the mill haven't you? ' and i'm like ; er no? i haven't, and thinking to myself ' what i'm talking about to this person, is nothing like the sensational spin they're putting on it'.
why are some people like this, why are they like this? i've never understood that mentality to be honest, i don't really feel annoyed with the person, just a little irritated and wish they'd keep things real, according to the reality of what i'm talking to them about, and not put this other 'sensational' spin on what i told them, which isn't necessary, because this is coming from them, not me, and i think they call that projecting onto someone don't they?
