Why do some posters believe they have to educate you against your will?

Nobody is impressed with a jerk who keeps" shouting" "the truth" at them.
It's probably more frustrating if it is the truth,but the fact that you're yelling at them and not being considerate doesn't make any converts to your cause.

I resent religious fanatics going into forums that aren’t about religion to proselytize. It makes it harder to avoid them.

I understand, as I wouldn't want someone mocking and belittling me on any post about what I believe.

@Justmeraeagain I think it’s about respect. I mute forums about religion, and those posts don’t end up in my feed.
