Looking for someone to do yard work

Yeaterday I posted a help wanted post to our local community group page to help clean up my yard and prepare for spring. Received a message back from a local kid that he'd do it.

Got a call from a very concerned neighbor. "There's a young man in your backyard" lol! Gotta love my neighbors keeping an eye onbthe neighborhood. I wasn't expecting him to start today but that works.

When I lived in Michigan I had about 10 years of dead leaves in my backyard, and the city rules were that all leaves had to be bagged in special bags or the town trash pickup wouldn't take them.

Two of the sweetest little boys came by and asked me if I wanted them to rake my leaves, and I was so thrilled! They were borderline almost too young to do the work, but I told them I would pay them an adult wage if they did a really good job, AND I bought them each a rake and some work gloves so they could work for others in the neighborhood.

There wasn't ONE leaf in my back yard when they were done! Best money I ever spent!

@Degbeme No...I had JUST bought the house. The leaves belonged to the guy upon whom the bank foreclosed! 🤣
