who would you define blue humor?

I remember people using that expression years ago in my younger days,meaning humour or jokes that were suggestive or veering towards crude.
it's usually things that edge towards the crude and salacious. or used to be, I suppose now it'd have to try harder/go farther as the world is a bit more desensitized.
