Does helping others make you upset in a good way ?

I notice that when i help others such as seeing someone who looks hungry or thirsty when i walk into a gas station or someone asking for food & asking them what it is they want and ordering it for them even if it seems like alot unhoused or someone in a time if need i seen on a reddit post and i PM them to help them with alittle amount they may need help with. It really does get to me and not alot gets me i would picture myself as cold hearted, but when it comes to helping other humans i get upset about it after i helped them.

Maybe its because i seen some people help me as a kid when my mom had nothing, or maybe because i just know what its like compeltely to be down and out & needed help and know what its like to be ignored and not have anyone really care & i know what its like to be a stray dog without a family or a wolf cut from the pack. I really dont know why but i know it upsets me and i keep those people in my prayers.

@Different Yes, there are different levels of empathy. The highest one is feeling exactly what the other person is going through, including their suffering. As if it were your own. This comes from a past experience that affected you personally bc one day you were in the same place. You see yourself in that person. I have a soft spot for anyone who has lost a parent because I’ve been there. It affects me deeply. I mean it just becomes a weakness of yours. Also don’t you dare call yourself cold-hearted again buddy. You’re too mellow for that sh*t

@Nunki i would think im cold as in i dont try to fit in and i stay away from others and i really dont care about things most would find exciting like i really just got the 430i but i aint happy i just got it cause it looked nice and i liked it and i been wanting one for a min. But it dont do much for me same as alotta things just numb to it all. When females look at me i dont care lol and when ppl wanna be my friend i dont wanna be their friend i am just cool around them but im not tryna be friends or kick it cause i dont feel like i get on with them like that lol so thats why i say cold hearted haha things just really changed for me but idc i praise God for it but idc, if that makes sense.

But yeah a parent loss is hard, i know a few people who lost theirs and i could not imagine that loss although i dont talk to my dad it would hurt no matter the evil he done, and my mom although she wasnt a good mom and basically had us as orphans i would still be hurt. So its a sad one for those who had good parents and loss them, RIP to them,

Cold as in a cruel insensitive person with a dead conscience. Cool as in chill & calm with a nonchalant attitude, like eh life goes on lol
