I'm delighted to know something is being done, but it's not enough, especially when illegals are given better treatment in the comfort of a hotel room.

@Aysel FEMA has been paying for hotel rooms for many of the victims of Hurricane Helene...because money saving solutions are not their strong point. However, every hotel room available in the area was already being used...so many of the displaced had to go and live with relatives. Farmers, and people who owned livestock, were in a very bad situation.

@daydeeo @4meAndyou I'm not talking about private charities. I'm talking about the governments of Western nations that use people's tax money to put illegals in hotel rooms while a lot of their own people have to struggle or are homeless. Every homeless person I've met in my country wasn't illegal; they were natural-born citizens, but again, I am delighted the people who have been affected by the hurricane have been getting the help they need with accommodation.
