Trailers are being GIVEN to the people of North Carolina and elsewhere NOW, after Hurricane Helene

...but not by FEMA!!! Instead, a non-profit organization has stepped up, and it is THEY who are donating trailers. People whose homes were completely wrecked now have a place to live while they rebuild.

I'm delighted to know something is being done, but it's not enough, especially when illegals are given better treatment in the comfort of a hotel room.

@Aysel FEMA has been paying for hotel rooms for many of the victims of Hurricane Helene...because money saving solutions are not their strong point. However, every hotel room available in the area was already being used...so many of the displaced had to go and live with relatives. Farmers, and people who owned livestock, were in a very bad situation.

@Aysel Some of them were in hotel rooms - a 2 hour drive from where they lived.
Government, get out of the way, and let the people take care of business!

@daydeeo This particular non-profit helped get those people back onto their own property.

@daydeeo @4meAndyou I'm not talking about private charities. I'm talking about the governments of Western nations that use people's tax money to put illegals in hotel rooms while a lot of their own people have to struggle or are homeless. Every homeless person I've met in my country wasn't illegal; they were natural-born citizens, but again, I am delighted the people who have been affected by the hurricane have been getting the help they need with accommodation.

@Aysel I think it goes without saying that FEMA has been grossly mismanaged by the present government.

@4meAndyou See what I mean? It all comes back to not prioritizing. Let me know if I can donate. I am in the UK, but I'd be happy to help out if I can.

@Aysel You are extremely kind!!! If you decide you wish to donate, here is the organizations website:
