How do you help someone who always thinks you're lying or having alternative motives?

They asked for help, but make you feel like you're on trial when helping.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be inclined to help someone like that for long. If they don’t trust my motives they should find someone whose motives they do trust. 🤨
