Who has no support system?

I often feel the same way, and I noticed, most people don’t care. People act like you’re nice because you expect it back like that’s the wrong thing… so shitty. Yes you’re kind so you’d like to be treated kindly. It makes sense. People just aren’t that kind. They’ll overlook you for whatever judgement they hold. Hearsay, whatever their reason. Just keep doing your thing. Keep being you. You don’t owe anyone shit though.

So, You gave with the expectation to receive back which is unhealthy.
Hence, now change the strategy. Either start giving with no expectations or Stop giving.

I only give when I feel like I can afford to give. I make sure my finances and everything are taken care of before I go out handing people money for free.

Unfortunately, people won't always do for you what you do for them. And that makes our every encounter a great risk. I suppose the trick is identifying who is worth taking that risk for... and right now it sounds to me that the one person most deserving of your kindness is yourself. Be kind to yourself. Show yourself the love you so effortlessly give unto others. You'll be okay!

I agree with Lyfis2live. You can't always expect people to give back to you like you gave to them. I keep getting reminded of that myself.

I know how you feel. I only have my parents.
