Grandson is helping me today
Gotta change the blades on my neighbors mower. It's 3 years old and original blades, we'll also wash, wax and tune up for him... I say we but i mean him.

@Poppies Not necessarily. Sometimes they just skip a generation, or it is a matter of definition and preference. I would never describe myself as handyman, but both my sons are and proudly display their talents. Yet I remember back in my poorer days an old Army barracks mate was visiting and the drain got clogged. So I got out the pipe wrenches my father-in-law had insisted on bestowing me, took off the trap, and cleaned it out. My Army buddy stood there amazed and asked where I had learned to do that. I said, truthfully, "no where. Just watching my father." He had grown up in Shaker Heights with a big executive for a father and said "my father would have had difficulty knowing whom to hire."
