What did the youth of the 1980s have that the youth nowadays don't have?

More peace of mind back then not having to worry if they would get shot up in English class.

@AngelUnforgiven I listened to Coolio’s "Gangsta’s Paradise" video (1995) for the first time on YouTube last week.
