You can be anything you want to be! Boys can do anything they want. Girls can do anything they want for jobs, career, fashion, marriage.

"I always knew I was a girl because I liked pink since I was a kid"
"I knew I was a boy cos I liked toy cars"

The biggest Gender essentialists are TRANS.

The concept of gender is too weird for me. I prefer to think that there are two sexes plus typical and atypical behaviors possible of each.

@CleverGirl Gender is just culture that society assigns to people based on their biological sex. Gender is fake and gay, but IDK, it matters to some people.

@LibertarianEmily Just because something is a social construct, doesn't mean you can't feel a deep sense of connection to said social construct. Remember, group identities are social tools, and humans are social creatures.

My German identity is important to me, but ethnicity is a social construct too. Pretty much everything you're say can also apply to ethnicity.
