What are traditional values? Usually it means whatever values you have and think everyone else should have.
The traditional values I grew up on were to not judge, societies are only as good as they treat their weakest members, don't be ignorant, admire but not idolize anyone, love is greater than hate, try to leave the world better than you received it.

It depends on what you mean by "traditional values".
And acceptance isn't the same as acknowledging. Acceptance sounds more like they really don't have a choice, as opposed to wanting it, which would make it more fulfilling.
