@DeWayfarer They are male of female from the the moment of conception. The sperm is either male or female as it carries either a x or a y chromosome. So funny that you didn't know that. What's even more interesting is the fact that the sex of the child is often determined by where in the vagina the ejaculation takes place. A shallow penetration will increases the chance of a girl and a deep penetration increase the chances of a boy.

@DeWayfarer So you think a zygote is supposed to have external genitalia? The genetic code is set at conception. You can not make a male zygote into a female fetus nor can you make a female zygote into a male fetus.
