Moral disengagement .

Cognitive Dissonance.

People will make you the villain in their story, when their identity and the truth of the reality are not matching up.

This is to protect their identity and guilt of their behaviour towards you.

Their brains will run the story that causes them the least guilt.

Did you study -- D Trump.

it so much relates to him
@wintersecret

I have delt with this kind of behaviour for years, I reached a point in life where I’ll just call it out.

That’s makes them uncomfortable, yet they will still gas light me and believe their own lies.

@QuietReverie It's more like

I am right always

you are not.

kinda of PPl
@wintersecret

Yes or if someone behaves badly towards you, it didn’t happen, if it did, it’ wasn’t that bad or it was your fault.

I've had therapists like this even.

We must be careful 🖤
@ScreamingFox

Even professionals!
RebelRaven · 51-55, F
It’s gross isn’t it?
@RebelRaven

I don’t want to be around people like that.

My figuring that its a learned habitat, no one starts out that way
This is unfortunately true
I have to watch my own thoughts at times

It’s worse when they actually believe their own reality. They have no self awareness at that point.
@BillyMack

Wonder why they turn out that way?
BillyMack · 46-50, M
@QuietReverie for some I imagine it’s a defense mechanism because deep down they know they’re a fraud.

For others, I’m sure they’ve been enabled.

Idk
@BillyMack

I once had someone do that and another enabled them.

Both clearly lying.
@class

What do you mean?

@QuietReverie I was wondering if you wrote this with ai?
@class

No, I actually do research. 🧐
